剧情简介Synopsis

 二十世纪九十年代末，藏区某地。
 儿子把自家的老狗卖给乡上的狗贩子，被父亲追回，并将其放到山上。
 放到山上的狗再次卖到狗贩子手里，准备运往内地。
 儿子为了要回狗和狗贩子发生冲突，被警察拘留。
 最后，无奈的父亲不得不亲手杀了和自己相依为命的老狗。。。。。。

 

At the tail end of the twentieth century in Tibet, the son has sold his family dog to a dog dealer in town but his father retrieves the dog and sets it free.  The freed dog ends up in the hands of the dog dealer again.  It is ready to be resold soon.  To get the dog back again from the dealer, the son fights the dealer but ends up being arrested by police.  Finally the father chooses to kill the old dog who has kept him company for long years.

导演简介Director’s Bio

万玛才旦，来自安多藏区。中国导演协会会员,中国电影家协会会员，中国电影文学学会会员。先后就读于西北民族大学、北京电影学院、鲁迅文学院。文学硕士，艺术学硕士。
１９９１年开始发表文学作品，先后用藏、汉文发表中短篇小说五十余篇，部分作品被翻译成英、法、德等文字。作品获“章恰尔”文学奖、中国当代少数民族文学创作新秀奖等多种奖项。已出版藏文小说集《诱惑》、长篇传记文学《大师在西藏》、长篇翻译作品《说不完的故事》。中文小说集《流浪歌手的梦》也将于今年出版。
２００２年开始电影编导工作。 主要作品有《草原》、《静静的嘛呢石》、《寻找智美更登》等，荣获第三届国际学生影视作品展中国学生最佳短片奖， 第十届韩国釜山国际电影“新潮流”特别奖，第二十五届中国电影金鸡奖最佳导演处女作奖，第三十届香港国际电影节“国际影评人联盟奖”，第十三届大学生电影节最佳处女作奖，第七届曼谷国际电影节金吉纳利评委会大奖，第九届上海国际电影节亚洲新人奖最佳导演奖，第十二届上海国际电影节金爵奖评委会大奖等多项大奖。

Pema Tseden, writer, director, born in 1969 in the Tibetan region of Amdo (Qinghai province). He is a Member of the Chinese Film Directors’ Association, Chinese Film-makers’ Association and Chinese Film Literature Association. He studied in the Northwest University for Nationalities, Beijing Film Academy and Lu Xun College respectively. He holds a Master degree in Literature and Arts.Since 1991, he has published more than 50 pieces of short and medium-length novels both in Tibetan and Chinese. Some of his works have been translated into English, French and German among other languages. His works have won the Tibetan literature prize Drang-char (sbrang-char) and the Rookie award for Chinese Contemporary Ethnic Literature.

In 2002, he began his film career, the major works directed by him are The Grassland, The Silent Holy Stones and The Search etc. His films won numerous awards, such as the Third International Student Film and Video Award for Best Short Film of Chinese students, Tenth Pusan International Film Festival "New Wave" Special Award, Twenty-fifth Golden Rooster Award for best directorial debut award, Thirtieth Hong Kong International Film Festival "FIPRESCI Award, Seventh Bangkok International Film Festival Jury Prize Jinjinali, Ninth Shanghai International Film Festival Asian New Talent Award for Best Director Award, Twelfth Shanghai Jin Jue Award International Film Festival Jury Prize.
